Applying to PRG (Production Resource Group), for a job within there theatre/concert touring departments they offered me to an interview and open day.
on arrival to the open day we had a tour of the whole area to find out where everything was within the building this was a slight eye opener within the world of concert touring. my interview with one of the project managers started talkign about the experiences have had during my time working in technical theatre we then went on to talking about my experience with certain parts of equipment available in the industry.
i started to realise my self i wasn't experienced enough in the equipment being used in the professional industry's i realised this from the questions i was being asked.
my interviewer then mentioned about me getting some experience within the warehouse over the summer 2012 to broaden my experiences and gain more knowledge in the equipment in which they use which is when he told me to contact nearer the summer applying for the job in which it would be mine if i wanted.

Technical Theatre part 2
Since my last blog. I have worked my way up the ladded in my local operatic theatre society to work as Stage Manager. With this i have had to coordinate a full team of theatre enthuasts to put on a semi professional show, encountering all the regulations of performance spaces and the health and safety aspects also. the 2 shows i have done have been successfully and the reviews of the shows were of a high remark.
Studying at the university of derby I got my self involved with a local amateur dramatic companies in which i operated my first show in the derby area on the lighting board using the E.T.C ION
Derby university theatre society also used me as a source of equipment hire, they gave me a budget and there basic needs. I supplied them with the best possible deal and equipment i was able to. Finding my best prices for the best kit was most challenging but also satisfying because it showed good managerial skills.
From producing work in these areas i have conducted some important networking and met new people. This has lead to work being offered to me via the derby theatre which would be TMA rates.
